| My top priorities are job creation, housing and education. They are interrelated. An excellent educational infrastructure attracts employers and can bring good jobs to the Inland Empire. Unemployment leads to home forclosures, evictions and distressed neighborhoods. Economic distresses further burdens already challenged schools. Riverside and San Bernardino Counties have large proportions of public employees; slashing their jobs would bring additional misery and distress to our area. We need to build infrastructure -- transportation, schools and services -- that will attract jobs and build a secure future for our children and grandchildren. |
